Improving The Latino Count

Join a conversation moderated with Dr. Danielle Clealand, Dr. Yalidy Matos, Dr. Yasmiyn Irizarry, who are joined by Dr. Mark Lopez, Director of Race and Ethnicity Research at Pew Research Center as they engage in a dialogue on how we can improve the count of Latinos in the Census and other surveys. The counting of all Latinos has proven an important point of discussion when addressing the most recent OMB proposal, Special Directive 15, as some Latinos do not choose to acknowledge a racial category and thus the Latino count becomes murky. Join this exciting expert panel on ways we can solve that issue, keeping AfroLatin@s in mind! This conversation will be interpreted from English into Spanish.
