We will examine race, ethnicity, culture, and the importance of recognizing race within our Latin@ community. Panelists will discuss Encuentro Diaspora and Esperanza United’s report: A call to Action for Inclusive Gender-based Violence Services for Black/Afro Latinas, which addresses anti-Blackness, erasure of Blackness, and the impact of racism in order to build racially and culturally inclusive responses.
