Have you ever wondered about the difference between race and ethnicity?  And why it matters?

The Office of Management and Budget (the OMB) just released proposed changes to federal standards for the collection of race and ethnicity-data that will affect how  Afro-Latinos, Indigenous Latinos, and other Latinos are counted in the next U.S. Census and other federal agencies.

But a national coalition of Afro-Latino scholars, activists, and organizations is opposing these changes.
